The UNECE Task Force on Water and Climate, chaired by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment, has led the analysis and compilation of the lessons learned and good practices to take into account when developing a climate change adaptation strategy for water management in the basin or transboundary context, as derived from a decade of Task Force meetings and workshops under the Task Force. It includes lessons learned and good practices mainly from the programme of pilot projects under the UNECE Water Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes implemented since 2010. The publication serves as a complement to the Guidance on Water and Adaptation to Climate Change.
